Installation - Video

In my video and installation works, I explore breath, movement, presence and the relationship between body, space and perception. Projections, light, foil, sound and performance combine to create meditative spaces in which time expands, condenses or dissolves.

Elements of my Indian heritage appear in ritual gestures, clothing and forms – echoing identity, memory and cultural rhythm. The works invite viewers to experience silence, intensity and transitions between the inner and outer worlds.

What is the present moment if it is immediately past when we perceive it, and also future every moment? Focusing on the here and now blurs the rest...
The double projection creates a double sound – a pure overlap of the sounds and subtle noises of the room condense into a single beeping tone.

Meditating in this moment represents the absolute perception of the here and now with all the senses... In this video, you can see a projection of how the artist captures the present moment in various ways – written down, captured with strokes.

The veiled figure observes this, moving back and forth. At the end, a meditation takes place.
